Years listening to paradise by the dashboard light that phil rizzuto's famoys play by play was a rerun of his call during a game. It phil calling out the play as mickey rivers of the yankees (fast as lightning btw) ran the bases on an inside the park home run.

I read someplace this week it was phil rizzuto in a studio setting making tbe call for that song. Not a replay of live call in stadium.

Does anyone know for sure if it was "made up in studio" for the song or is it a taped replay of an actual game call?

Either way, the call in the song is just as i recall listening on the radio in the late 1970s.
